Festival Notification Rework
A downloadable mod
Last updated March 8th, 2025
As more Worlds have been added to the game over the years, several of them have come with their own festivals and regularly scheduled events. The problem is that the number of them has grown quite high. Their schedules frequently overlap with each other, and their notifications often come with loud audio bumpers. The total effect is the player gets bombarded with notifications for events that they likely aren't interested in interacting with every week anyway.
This mod allows you to manage the notifications for festivals events so that they are less obnoxious and more relevant for the household you're currently playing.
Features
Notification Audio
The audio that gets played at the start of a festival can now be changed to a simple beep, a standardized jingle which is softer than the usual audio, or muted entirely. Alternatively, the notification can be left alone and use the normal game audio. By default, it's the simple beep.
Relevant Alerts
By default, notifications will only appear for households who live in the same World as the festival, or if active Sim is currently visiting the World where the festival takes place. For high school events, those will appear if the active household has a Teen Sim in it. These notifications can be tweaked further per household, using the "Manage Event Notifications" in the Home menu on the phone, to always show notifications from one type of festival or never show them regardless of what World you're in. Notifications will also have a Manage Notifications button on them to quickly turn them off if you don't wish to see them anymore.
New Notification Icons
This changes the icons for a handful of festival notifications, particularly those from City Living, so that it's easier to tell what the festival is at a glance.
Add Sulani Notifications
New notifications can be added to the Sulani festivals which normally do not have any. They come with their own UI messages to allow you to travel directly to a location nearby. If enabled, these notifications will follow all other settings in the mod.
Remove Calendar Entries
You can choose to remove the calendar entries for festivals completely, on a per-world basis. This setting will override the filter behavior in the calendar UI.
Settings
To access the mod's settings, shift-click a Sim to access the debug menu and find the interaction in there.
To access the notification settings, Relevant Alerts must be enabled, and then you will find it in your Sim's phone menu under the Home category.

Requirements
This mod is Base Game compatible, but you will need at least one pack installed that contains festival events in order for it to do anything. These include City Living, Island Living, Snowy Escape, Cottage Living, High School Years, and Life & Death.

Extract the files from the zip archive. Add the package and ts4script file to your Sims 4 Mods folder or a subfolder which is only one deep. For organization, it is usually better to keep the files together as they are arranged.
